Midwife, Mentor and Changemaker
Prisca Mulongo: From Hardship to Helping Others
Before joining Pestalozzi, Prisca Mulongo’s childhood was filled with instability and hardship.
Living with a stepmother who “didn’t really like her" while her father travelled frequently for work made home life extremely difficult.
Everything changed when she joined Pestalozzi.
Today, Prisca works as a registered midwife at a district hospital and also serves as an adolescent health provider and tutor for nursing students.
She credits much of her success and confidence to the support, education and encouragement she received through Pestalozzi.
My life completely changed after Pestalozzi because with Pestalozzi I got the love that I needed and the care, the environment all together was totally different from where I came from

How a Pestalozzi Education Helped Prisca Change Lives
Now, Prisca is committed to becoming a blessing to others.
Driven by gratitude and compassion, she has dedicated herself to supporting vulnerable children in her community. She currently sponsors two boys, one who has already completed high school, and another whom she met as a baby after he was abandoned by a mentally unwell mother.
In addition, Prisca has also supported two girls through Grade 12 education.
Her story is a powerful reflection of the ripple effect of opportunity: one young person supported through education can go on to transform the lives of many others.
Through her work in healthcare and her commitment to supporting children, Prisca is creating lasting impact in her community, carrying forward the same care and encouragement that once changed her own life.
