His training then lead to an internship, hands-on experience and employment.
How Isaac Turned Opportunity Into Purpose
Here is a story of hope and determination. It starts in Zambia, at our SkillsHub project where Isaac has been studying mechanics.
Working as a security guard, doing night shifts at a local mechanics, Isaac applied for our SkillsHub programme to train as an auto mechanic. Through his training he managed to do his internship at Pilatus Zambia, where he not only gained hands-on experience but impressed his supervisors!
Now he is employed full-time there as a mechanic - a remarkable transformation that highlights the effectiveness of SkillsHub in bridging the gap between education and meaningful employment.
I'm very happy for what Pestalozzi has done, they have changed my life.

But there is a secret ingredient to this. It's not just the access to vocational training but to training in mindset- a strong Pestalozzi value. This is what gives SkillsHub trainees the boost of confidence to believe in themselves, secure employment and find hope in their future path. Hope is also an essential ingredient in becoming a changemaker, which is a quality we are focussed on unlocking in all the young people we work with.
Access to technical and vocational education and training (TVET) worldwide remains limited worldwide. In Zambia, where youth unemployment is high, initiatives like SkillsHub are vital. By providing training, internships, and mindset training, SkillsHub is equipping youth with skills and confidence to build livelihoods and contribute to their communities.
